Scalzi Estate
The Scalzi Family winemaking tradition dates back to the Roman days and beyond. Our family lived and farmed land in the famous Valle Caudina of Campania, Italy.
Amongst the farming land they cultivated vines, producing wine and other food products, such as cheese, prosciutto and other.
Besides serving the local community the produce was sold to merchants that came from the nearby city who would come to the country towns to purchase from the producing farming families. They would then on – sell in the rich city area s and famous tourist destination s of Napoli, Amalfi Coast, Positano, Sorrento, Capri and surrounding areas.
Our family owned land in the famous and rich soil of the Valle Caudina and the hills of Mount Taburno. Today the area still boasts fame for its grape varieties including Aglianico, Fiano, Falanghina and Coda Di Volpe.
